Our Mission?

We know some people can’t come back because they may be settled in another community. This site may at least keep them in the know. We have no local cable TV television service to keep us updated on local events. We would really appreciate it if everyone could spread the word and tell people they know that may find this site of some use. Remember there is a section on the forum for people to track down friends that have not come back.

We are working on it every day trying to add and update pages.

Please keep checking back often. Also, this is a big parish and we are not purposefully neglecting any area. It is just taking longer than we thought to go around passing out flyers.

We hope this will be The site for our community to interact with each other and the world at large. From this site you will be able to advertise and promote your local business, find employment, shop in the marketplace section and chat in the forums. Community events like fishing tournaments in Venice will be posted and updated with information.

The government drew an imaginary line in the sand separating Plaquemines Parish into two pieces. Federal, State and Local Governments have basically left us to fend for ourselves. We want this website to show everyone out there that we still live, work and play here. We still have much to offer as a community. Though a lot of things have changed, this is still home. I know South Plaquemines isn’t a separate Parish but it is starting to feel that way.

We will need your help getting information that you think should be on this site. If there is anything you think we need here and you don’t see it, give us a call or use the link at the bottom of the page to e-mail us with your suggestions. Remember...this site is for all of us and we will need your help.
